Terra + Spirito: an evening at Casa Nepèta bringing together botanicals, cuisine, and Sicilian memory

On Sunday, June 14, Casa Nepèta will host an original gastronomic experience created together with Via delle Palme: seven courses, seven botanical cocktails, and four bartenders telling the story of the region through its scents, flavors, and traditions.

In the countryside of Testa dell’Acqua, among Casa Nepèta’s aromatic fields, Terra + Spirito is born: an event celebrating the meeting of agriculture, contemporary cuisine, and signature mixology.

Per una sera, il liquorificio agricolo siciliano aprirà le proprie porte a un percorso composto da sette portate e sette cocktail botanici, ideato in collaborazione con Via delle Palme, il progetto gastronomico di Buccio Cappello e Giuliana Pucci, coppia nella vita e nel lavoro che ha fatto della ricerca delle radici e della memoria culinaria siciliana la propria missione.

After years of experience abroad, Buccio and Giuliana returned to Sicily to build a nomadic cuisine that recovers recipes, stories, and gestures passed down in the homes of the island’s grandmothers, transforming them into contemporary gastronomic experiences. In recent years, the project has become one of the most compelling voices in Sicily’s new hospitality scene.

For Terra + Spirito, Via delle Palme will curate the evening’s menu, creating a dialogue between memory and innovation, while four guest bartenders will interpret the botanicals grown by Casa Nepèta through a sequence of botanical cocktails specially created to pair with each dish.

The philosophy that unites the two projects is the same: to begin with the land in order to generate culture. On one side, the aromatic herbs of the Iblei mountains, cultivated and transformed by Casa Nepèta; on the other, the gastronomic heritage preserved within Sicilian families and brought back to light by Via delle Palme. In between lies the act of hospitality as a tool for storytelling and sharing.

Terra + Spirito thus becomes much more than a dinner with pairings: an immersive experience in which ingredients, botanicals, cocktails, and dishes tell the story of a contemporary Sicily that looks to the future without forgetting its roots.
